hey darlings
so hmm this painting is a response
to how june feels in my heart here on cape cod..
i think im blown away by every season here.. and 
then bc my memory is so busy  (😁) i forget with each new seasonal reveal just how taken i am with each one's charms, and i have mini joy meltdowns
but whoah this june..  just the scents alone...
of BLOOM omg of abundant BLOOM
all the flowers and the rosa rugosa 
and the remaining lilacs
just the mysterious bounty of it all.. 
the names of flowers and hidden clusters,
the obvious celebrations of spontaneous congregations 
most of them i dont know 
or maybe will never know
oh but i see them
we see each other 
and we know each other
if you know 
you know 
so 
like this past monday, in the early the evening
when i took a stroll to walk away from something im working on, to clear my head, to re start my soul-
oh i couldn't believe just how wonderful the night air smelled! no really i announced it to a stranger! lol but she agreed .. with .. what a SMILE! 
that said oh the peonies! and their friends!
who were all, it seemed,  leaning over and through fences to greet me, to say hi we are a family
look at us we are dancing tonight
bc we all grew stronger
separately 
but together
in the rain 
so i came home and painted this 
to make sure 
i heard that
i smelled that
i felt that right
BC IT WAS SO RIGHT 
and that, my sweet potatoes 
is june by the sea 
(here in provincetown to me)
