this piece started out as an exploration,

of reflections on window panes, of holy spaces,

i was doing a lot of walking and thinking and listening

it also had a bit of a crisp cool seaside village poem

happening about it

with provincetown feelings italian seaside amalfi whispering too

i liked considering different friends in each house

sometimes in the past sometimes in the future

but spring has been telling me shes coming early

what with all the birds chittering about their plans

SO then i loved thinking about lilacs. and then

they changed the feeling of this village for me,

i dont know i guess just about how good they make me feel in all the ways + knowing that they are inevitably coming here, again.

blooming by the sea.

how they are a vibe really

so i played with color and played with texture,

trying to conjure antiques and vintage wallpaper

in a way? enough to show how in all-ways they're

elegant bohemian sexy fragrant early romantic

and capable of making a whole story

happen in my head, i guess bc of how

they finesse breezes? ride them?

like they were seasoned guides

on a swift river

24 x 18

acrylic oil bliss

blonde wood gallery frame

and as always, thank you for being here

(also FYI there's a video of this piece on here, bc i love the light, but its missing slightest finishes .. other pics are updated and will show those, as well as different lighting indoor & indirect.. do visit my IG account for songs accompanying video if thats your thing 😉)
